2017-18: Finished 17th overall in the varsity eight at the NCAA Championships…claimed a first place finish in the varsity eight at the West Coast Conference Championships…took second in the second varsity eight in the Fawley Cup…placed second in the second varsity eight at the Lake Natoma Invitational…defeated Oregon State in the varsity four boat…placed ninth overall in the varsity four at the San Diego Crew Classic…took second in the varsity four boat at the hornet invite…finished fourth in the second varsity eight boat at the Head of the Lake…took 11th in the varsity eight at the Head of the American…placed third in the varsity eight at the Head of the Spokane.
2016-17: Finished 18th overall with the varsity four at the NCAA Championships, setting a new record time … won the WCC Championship with the varsity four boat … finished second in the B Final at the Clemson Invitational with the second varsity four … had a win with the second varsity four in the Lake Natoma Invitational … defeated Washington State in the Fawley Cup in the varsity four boat … took second in the fall’s Head of the Lake with the varsity four … beat WSU at the Head of the Spokane with the third varsity eight … WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention … WCC Crew of the Month – March.
2015-16: Took first in the varsity four boat at the Portland Fall Classic…took third at the Head of the Lake in the third varsity eight boat.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Holy Names Academy in Seattle…was on the crew team ranked top-25 in the nation…won the Head of the Charles Regatta…was the most inspirational player in 2011 and 2012, and attended the Northwest High Performance Camp in 2013…was a member of the US Rowing Honor Roll, an AP Scholar, a two-time National Hispanic Recognition Scholar, and a member of the National Honor Society with a 4.0 GPA.
MISC: Daughter of Victor and Annie…has a twin sister, Emma, who is also on the GU rowing team, and another sister, Adela…her great grandfather James Wickwire played golf at Gonzaga…her dad played football at Columbia Basin College…had three cousins play collegiate baseball and two played professionally…majoring in economics with the goal to work outreach for a company like Nike or Lululemon…chose Gonzaga for the community and Jesuit tradition, and because her grandparents went there…she has seen almost every romantic comedy for the last 20 years.
