Biography
2021-2022 (Fall): In 2v8 that defeated Oregon State 2v8 and LMU V8 at the Head of the Spokane and lost to WSU 2v8 by just 1 second ... Rowed in the 4+s flight at the Head of the Spokane, defeating crews from OSU and WSU ... Rowed in GU’s 2v in Championship 8+ at the Head of the Lake, losing only to the University of Washington and the Gonzaga 1v but beating all other team’s varsity 8+s (Spring): Transitioned to the stroke position of the Second Varsity 8 team at the PLU Invitational and against Minnesota, which helped the team earn multiple top-five finishes… At the San Diego Crew Classic, rowed in the No.6 position of the Second Varsity 8 team…Part of the crew that swept the WCC Championships and went on to compete at the NCAA Championships.
2020-2021: Part of 2v8 boat that swept all 3 races at GU Invitational against U. Portland, Seattle U and Pacific Lutheran ... In 2v8 that took 2nd at the 2021 WCC Championships ... Part of Conference Squad that won the program’s 19th WCC Championship ... Finished top 20 at the 2021 NCAA National Championships ... Named to Gonzaga Presidents List
2019-20: Rowed with the second varsity eight at the Head of the Spokane on Oct. 19…helped the Zags to an 18:43.5 time-trial finish…spring season shortened due to COVID-19.
2018-19: At the Fawley Cup, finished third in the second varsity four...placed fourth at the WCC Championship in the second varsity four.
High School: Graduated in 2018 from the Discovery Canyon Campus High School in Colorado Springs, Colo…was a three-sport athlete, competing in cross country, basketball and track and field…was an accomplished pole vaulter, placing 16th at state…named the Female MVP for track and field her senior season…also earned the district-wide sportsmanship award in basketball…four-time honor roll member…received and IB diploma…carried a 4.65 GPA through high school.
Personal: Daughter of Johanna and Greg Gagnon…has one sibling, Sam…father Greg swam in college at St. Michael’s…majoring in biochemistry.
