Biography
2022-23: Performing throughout the season with the Second Varsity 8 team, opened the year by clinching a fifth-place finish at the Head of the Spokane, with a time of 17:43, and a fourth-place finish at the Head of the Lake, with a time of 18:48.391… Also earned a second-place finish against Oklahoma and Washington State, along with a first-place finish at the Triton Invitational… Closed the year by helping the squad place first at the WCC Championship, with an impressive time of 6:45.61, along with multiple top-five heat finishes at the NCAA Championships…
2021-2022 (Fall): Raced in 3v8 at the Head of the Spokane that defeated both Oregon State 3v8 and LMU 2v8 ... Won the Collegiate Jv 8+ race at the Head of the Lake in Gonzaga’s 3v8+ over University of Washington and Portland (Spring): After starting the season with the Junior Varsity 8 team, Grau quickly transitioned to rowing in the No.4 position of the Second Varsity 8 team… Assisted in consecutive first-place finishes at the PLU Invitational, finishing with times of 7:01.1 and 7:14.1… Against Minnesota, also helped earn a fourth-place finish with a time of 7:10.71… Participated at the San Diego Crew Classic, and aided in fourth- and seventh-place finishes with the Second Varsity 8 team…Was part of the crew that swept the WCC Championships and went on to compete at the NCAA Championships
2020-2021: Part of 2V boat that swept all 3 races at GU Invitational against U. Portland, Seattle U and Pacific Lutheran ... Part of Conference Squad that won the program’s 19th WCC Championship ... In 2V8 that took 2nd at the 2021 WCC Championships (Grau, Feistner, Bohn, Sarraute, Helgesen, Gagnon) ... Finished top 20 at the 2021 NCAA National Championships. ... All WCC Academic Team ... 2019-20: Rowed with the novice eight in the final time trial of the season against Washington State and Oregon State on Nov. 2…helped the Zags to a 17:59.9 finish on the 4,000-meter course…spring season shortened due to COVID-19.
Personal: Daughter of Jeffrey and Romy Grau… has 2 sisters, Alexa and Delaney... Sister played water polo at Santa Clara University… Mom played field hockey at the University of California, Berkeley… is majoring in Nursing.
