Gotta

Madeline Gotta

Gotta joined the Gonzaga staff in January 2022. She was a standout on the Bulldog roster from 2016 to 2019. She was the first GU player to ever be named United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-America as a senior in 2019. She was selected third team scholar All-American, boasting a 3.58 GPA as a Business Administration major. Gotta was also United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region first team in 2019. The San Diego native was tabbed Gonzaga's President's List twice and Dean's list three times.

Following her graduation, Gotta played professionally in Spain, Iceland and Sweden. She has also served as a Marketing Assistant for Coachdeck out of San Diego, creating content on Instagram and Facebook to identify and expand clientele for coaching aid.

Gotta was named All-WCC First Team as a senior. She was fourth in the conference with 65 shots, which ranks fourth in program history. During league play in 2019, she was tied for second in the WCC with 37 shots and a 4.11 shots per game average. She was fifth in conference play with five goals. Gotta finished the season with seven goals and four assists.

Gotta is eighth in program history with 37 points in her career. Her 13 goals rank 10th all-time at GU, and her 11 assists are sixth. Gotta's 135 career shots rank ninth. She was named All-WCC Second Team in 2018 and 2017, and to the league's All-Freshman Team and honorable mention All-Conference in 2016.

Gotta is set to return for the 2022 fall season for her first season as part of the staff. Her increased role within the program should only help keep the club on an upwards trajectory.
