Freshman (2023-24): Finished the season 0-2 in singles matches and 1-1 in doubles matches… Performed in the Gonzaga Invite during the fall tournament season… Paired with Caroline Wernli for doubles matches… Earned her first collegiate doubles victory against Portland State on the opening day of the Gonzaga Invite

Johnson was a Varsity Tennis Team Captain at North Creek High School and has been a member of Student Athlete Honors for four consecutive years.
 
"I cannot wait for Savannah to join us here in Spokane!" Pluskota-Hamberg said. "Her work ethic and determination on and off the court will be a great addition to our program."
 
Johnson is currently ranked No. 13 in the state of Washington. She has many accolades including KingCo 'Most Inspirational Player of the Year' and 1st Team All KingCo 'Singles Player of the Year.' Johnson has been involved in numerous community volunteering efforts and a variety of organizations including DECA, HOSA, Mock Trial Club and Girls Who Code.

"I chose Gonzaga for the amazing opportunities to excel on the court and in the classroom, as well as the tight-knit community surrounding their student-athletes," Johnson said. "From the moment I stepped on campus, the competitive drive and positive values of the team and leadership of the coaches radiated. It is an honor to join the Zag family!"
