Women's Basketball Edged By Pacific 86-85 In Overtime

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's basketball team (2-3) dropped their first non-conference home game of the season 86-85 in overtime Saturday night against the University of the Pacific Tigers (2-1) at the Kennel.

Bulldog forward Jessica Malone tallied 22 points and the final 3-point shot that pulled the Bulldogs even 78-78 in the last seconds of regulation play. Fifteen of Malone's points came in the form of a 3-pointers, shooting 5 for 13 from the three point line.

Freshman Raeanna Jewell chipped in with 20 points followed by Juliann Laney who contributed 12 points.

Selena Ho recorded a game-high 32 points for the Tigers.

The Bulldogs hit the road Thursday to face Washington State University in Pullman at 7 p.m. They return to the Kennel Saturday to play St. Martin's at 7 p.m.
