Gonzaga (2-4) was led by junior Raeanna Jewell with 15 points and five rebounds. This marked the first time that Hawk has scored in double figures in her collegiate career.

Utah started the game at a fast-pace, quickly taking the lead with an 8-0 run, which turned into a 19-9 lead. Gonzaga attempted to narrow the margin, but a six-point difference with 6:34 left in the first half was as close as the Bulldogs would come. The Utes went into halftime with a 41-29 lead.
The second half proved no different for Gonzaga as Utah controlled the scoreboards. The Bulldogs were quickly down by almost 20 (17:39) and wouldn't be able to bring the game back within ten for the remainder of the second half.
Gonzaga shot 44 per cent from the field (24-55), while Utah dominated the court with 55 percent (29-53). The Utes also shot 69 per cent from downtown (11-16) compared to the Bulldogs' debilitating 30 per cent (6-20).
The only stat that matched the teams in the same game was that they each had 16 turnovers, and neither team was able to capitilize on those opportunities.
Gonzaga next travels to meet Weber State University on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. PST.
