Volleyball Adds Middle Blocker For 2003

April 17, 2003

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University volleyball head coach Kip Yoshimura announced today that Kimberly Renshaw has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball for the Bulldogs in 2003.

Renshaw, a 6-0 middle blocker, has been a two-year letterwinner at Fallbrook High School located just outside of San Diego, Calif. Renshaw helped guide Fallbrook to the CIF Division I San Diego Sectional semifinals this season as the team posted a 21-6 record. She was named the team's Best Defensive Player while earning second-team All-Avocado League honors. Renshaw is also a three-year letterwinner in track and field where she ranks No. 11 in the San Diego area in the high jump.

"Kim is a versatile athlete that will be able to help us at both the middle blocker and right-side hitter positions," stated Yoshimura as he prepares to enter his second season as the Bulldogs head coach.
