SAN FRANCISCO - The West Coast Conference draught continues for the Gonzaga University Bulldogs as they fell to 0-10 in league play after a 3-1 loss at the University on Friday night. San Francisco improved to 10-16 overall, 3-7 in WCC action after picking up the 30-25, 30-19, 29-31, 30-13 victory. Gonzaga fell to 4-20 overall and will wrap up this two game Bay Area swing with a Saturday night match at No. 13 Saint Mary's College.
Gonzaga was limited to a .065 team attack percentage over the four game match with junior Lacey Bell the top Zags attacker with 14 kills. Freshman middle blocker Briawna Mueller chipped in 10 digs and five blocks. The Bulldogs top attacking game was in game three when they combined for a .213 clip and 15 of their 44 total kills.
San Francisco was led by Stephanie Voelkers with 27 kills on 66 attack attempts. The Lady Dons combined for 75 team kills with a .237 team attack percentage. Theresa Hart added 19 kills and KeLicia Shorts had 12. Shorts was also a force the net with seven blocks, six of them assisted.
The Bulldogs did hold an advantage in service aces as Lauren Armas and Alecia Douglas each added two aces for GU. Hart dropped in two aces for the Lady Dons.
