RENO, Nev. - Gonzaga University had four players post singles victories in their 5-2 win over the University of California - Davis in Reno, Nev. Sunday afternoon.
The win snaps a 10-match losing skid for the Zags (6-12) who earned the win over the Aggies by sweeping all three of the doubles matches and taking four of the six singles matches.
Gonzaga had senior Stefan Feddersen post a win a number one singles, sophomore Conor Feeney win at number three singles and freshmen Jake Davis and Scott Sullivan win at number four and five singles, respectively. Davis won all three of his matches over the weekend and continues to pace the team with 10 wins.
"It was a very good day for our team today," said head coach Peter MacDonald. "Our guys have been battling hard the past couple weeks. Everybody came out and played hard today and it was a good win for us."
The Bulldogs will travel to Moscow, Idaho to face the University of Idaho on Wednesday.
