SPOKANE, Wash. - Junior Katelan Redmon registered her third double-double of the season and senior Claire Raap had a career-high day in points with 16 to lead the Gonzaga University women's basketball team to a 97-60 victory over visiting University of San Francisco Saturday afternoon. The sixth largest crowd was in attendance for the 37-point victory, as 4,164 fans came out to support the Zags.

"We did some good things and some bad things today but I liked the energy," explained head coach Kelly Graves after the contest. "It was a fun game. I thought when we needed to make stops we did. We scored the ball well and everybody got in."

Gonzaga improved to 17-4 overall on the season with the win, 5-0 in West Coast Conference action, while San Francisco dropped to 3-16 on the year and 0-5 in conference.

Redmon finished with a game-high 25 points and grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds. She was nearly perfect from the field, sinking 10-of-14, including 3-of-4 from beyond the 3-point arc, and made both free throws. Raap, whose previous career-high was 15, secured her sophomore season, nailed 7-of-11 from the floor. She bested her previous high when she hit a jumper with 2:03 left in the contest.

The Bulldogs went into halftime with a 31-point advantage at 58-27. It was the second-straight game the Zags were up 30-plus on their opponents after the opening 20 minutes as they held the 53-16 edge on Santa Clara University Thursday night.

GU claimed a double-digit lead not even five minutes into the contest with an opening 17-3 run. Junior Kayla Standish scored eight of the 17 points for the Bulldogs, with Raap and Redmon chipping in four points apiece.

The Dons were held under 20 points until the final five minutes of the half, finally breaking the 20-point plateau at the 4:10 mark when Vania Singleterry made a layup to put the score 45-20.

Gonzaga closed out the half with three players in double-figures, including Redmon with 19, Standish with 14 and senior Courtney Vandersloot with 10 along with assisting on seven others. The Zags ended the half shooting 60.0 percent from the floor (21-of-35) and 85.7 percent (12-of-14) at the charity stripe.

San Francisco shot just 28.0 percent (7-of-25) in the first half and turned over the ball 15 times, which Gonzaga capitalized into 20 points.

The Bulldogs opened the second half on a 13-2 run to quickly capture the 40-point advantage at 71-31 with 14:31 left in the game. Redmon scored the first eight points for GU and Vandersloot ended the run with a 3-pointer, assisted by junior Shannon Reader.

Gonzaga's largest lead of the game was 41 points at 82-41. Sophomore Meghan Winters was the one to give the Bulldogs the edge when she drained a 3-pointer with 7:29 remaining.

All 13 players saw action for GU, with 10 players scoring.

"Today's game was one of the few times this year when we scored all the way to the end," said Graves. "We've had some trouble this year with the end of games putting up points. It was nice to see we were able to score all the way through the lineup."

Besides Redmon and Raap, Vandersloot and Standish also closed out the game in double-figures. Vandersloot tallied 15, along with nine assists and two steals, while Standish poured in 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked two shots.

Gonzaga ended the game shooting 50.0 percent (36-of-72) from the field and was 85.0 percent (17-of-20) at the charity stripe. The Bulldogs held the 52-30 rebounding advantage, scored 24 points off of turnovers and had their bench score 31 points.

San Francisco shot 35.0 percent (21-of-60) from the floor and was led by Katy Keating with 18 points.

The Bulldogs now hit the road once again, heading to Moraga, Calif., to face Saint Mary's College Thursday. The game is set for 6 p.m. and will be televised on CBS College Sports.

"One thing about this team is we've always taken it one game at a time," said Graves. "I don't think anybody has looked ahead to the SMC game. We have just concentrated on this weekend but we are excited to get back out on the road. We only have two more league road trips. It's amazing that we've only had two home games and only have two road trips left."
