SPOKANE, Wash. - Sunny Greinacher represented Gonzaga women's basketball on the NCAA Tournament Spokane Regional All-Tournament team.
Greinacher scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in Saturday's overtime loss to second-seed Tennessee. She recorded her fifth double-double of the season in her final game as a Zag. The senior made 12 of her 19 shots from the field, finishing one point shy of her career-high.
During the Bulldogs' run through the NCAA Tournament, Greinacher averaged 18.3 points and eight rebounds per contest. In the three games, she made 10 steals, had three blocks, and made eight of her nine free-throws. The Essen, Germany native, even made her lone three-point attempt at a key time in the victory over sixth-seeded George Washington.
In 2014-15, Greinacher averaged a team-best 14.1 points per game, while grabbing 6.2 rebounds per outing. She made 48 percent from the field and 83 percent from the free-throw line, this season.
Maryland's Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Brionna Jones, along with Tennessee's Ariel Massengale and Cierra Burdick rounded out the All-Tournament team. Walker-Kimbrough guided the Terripans to the regional title and the Final Four, and was tabbed the Most Outstanding Player of the regional.
