EVERYBODY LIKES MORE SOCCER:
- Out of the 10 matches Gonzaga has played this season, six have gone to overtime.
- Five of the six matches went to double-overtime, with four ending in ties.
- In comparison, GU played three overtime contests last season, four in 2013 and two in 2012.
BULLDOG IN THE NET:
- Christie Tombari has made 24 saves over the past three games and now has 219 in her career.
- Last week, Tombari moved into the program's top five in career total saves. She is currently fourth.
- The redshirt junior is 58th in the country playing 994 minutes in the net so far this season.
- She is second in the West Coast Conference with 51 saves, and third averaging 5.1 saves per game.
GETTING OUT OF THE GATES:
- Gonzaga has not lost this season when it has scored first, going 1-0-2 in those games. Conversely, the Zags are 0-5-2 when their opponent scores first.
- GU is also 0-4-0 when it trails at halftime and 1-1-4 when it is tied at half. The Bulldogs have not led at half yet.
BEST IN THE WEST ... COAST CONFERENCE:
- Karley Baggerly's five goals this season currently leads the West Coast Conference.
- She is second in the WCC averaging 3.2 shots per game, and third in points per game (1.1).
- Baggerly entered GU's program top-10 for shots taken in a career. She is currently tied for 10th with 103.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS:
- BYU rides into Thursday's matchup in Spokane on a five-game unbeaten streak.
- The Cougars lone loss of the season came at then-ranked No. 2 Stanford, 1-0.
- BYU has only given up three goals this year, and its .293 Goals-Against Average is third in the nation.
- The Cougars' seven shutouts lead the WCC, and their 0.7 shutout percentage is eighth in the country.
- BYU takes an average of 20.3 shots per contest, which is ninth in the nation.
- Ashley Hatch leads the nation in shots per game at 6.3. She places 1.9 on goal per outing.
- She has made three game-winning goals already this season.
- Rachel Boaz has the second-best save percentage in the NCAA at .941. She is averaging 4.8 saves per game. She has played 908 minutes this year in the net.
- Hatch and Elena Medeiros both have scored four goals to lead the team. Hatch has 10 points with two assists as well. Nadia Gomes leads the Cougars with three assists.
SCOUTING THE TOREROS:
- Jacqueline Altschuld is one of four players in the West Coast Conference that has four assists.
- She also has scored three goals this season and has 10 points.
- Victoria Walker also has 10 points with a team-high four goals along with two assists.
- Six of Julia Sherwood's nine shots have been on goal. She has scored twice and has three assists.
- Michelle Craft and McKenna Tollack have shared time in the net. Craft has played eight of the games.
- San Diego's 14 assists are second in the conference, one behind BYU for the lead.
- The Toreros are also second in total points with 44, just five behind leader BYU.
- USD is being outshot 174-95 so far this season.
