ABOUT THE SERIES:
- This is the ninth all-time meeting between Gonzaga and BYU. The Cougars lead the series, 8-0-0.
- The Cougars have won all four matches in the series in Provo by a 13-1 margin.
- BYU scored a late goal to pull away with a 1-0 win in Spokane last season.
- Nadia Gomes scored the game-winner in the 70th minute for then-ranked No. 6 BYU.
- The Cougars won the first all-time meeting, 4-0, in Provo on Oct. 13, 1995.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS:
- The Cougars are tied with Pepperdine, who also plays its final game on Saturday, in the conference standings.
- Depending on what the Waves do against Pacific earlier that day, BYU will be playing for either a shared or outright league title. At stake is the Cougars' fifth-straight WCC championship.
- Senior Ashley Hatch is third in the nation with 17 goals this season.
- Senior Michele Vasconcelos is the only player in the nation to have 12 goals and 12 assists.
