March 21, 2016

WCC Video Release

SAN BRUNO, Calif.-Freshman Bianca Pagdanganan picked up her first West Coast Conference honor Monday, getting named WCC Golfer of the Month for February by the conference office.

Pagdanganan earned the honor after finishing fourth at The Gold Rush Feb. 22-23, the Bulldogs' only tournament during the month. The Quezon City, Philippines native carded two rounds under par during the three-round tournament, shooting 1-under 71 during the first round and 2-under 70 during the third. At fourth, she was the highest-ranking WCC contestant in the tournament and only finished behind players from the No. 1 team in the country at the time, USC.

At the time, Pagdanganan led the team with a stroke average of 72.17, seven rounds at or below par, and two Top 5 finishes, including a win at the Edean Ihalnfeldt Invitational in October. She's since lowered her average to 72.14 strokes per round and added another fourth-place finish.

Pagdanganan and the rest of the Gonzaga women's golf team are back in action at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational Tuesday, March 22, for the first two rounds of the 56-hole tournament, held at Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course in Kane'ohe, Hawaii.
