This is the 27th all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Portland. The Pilots lead the series, 25-0-1. The Pilots have a 12-0-1 advantage in the meetings in Spokane. Portland has won the last five meetings. The Pilots scored a goal in the 77th minute in last season's 1-0 win in Portland. The prior year, Portland scored the gamewinner in the 89th minute in a 2-1 win. The past three meetings have been decided by one goal.
