- North Carolina beat UNC-Wilmington, 97-69, in its last game on Dec. 5 in Chapel Hill.
- UNC's Cameron Johnson led all scorers with 21 points. Four North Carolina players finished in double-digit scoring. Kenny Williams had 11 points and eight assists.
- The Tar Heels made 49 percent of their shots from the field and outrebounded UNCW, 49-36.
- Johnson (15.7 ppg), Coby White (15.3), Luke Maye (13.7) and Nassir Little (12.0) lead North Carolina in scoring.
- Maye averages a team-high 9.4 rebounds per outing, while Williams has thrown a team-best 44 assists.
