GREENWOOD, Ind. - A day after being selected Academic All-Conference, Chandler Smith was selected COSIDA First Team Academic All-District, announced Thursday.

Smith was one of just five first team selections, which encompasses all NCAA Division I schools in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Canada.

She is pursuing her master's in business administration with a 3.94 GPA, having already received her undergraduate degree in marketing. To be selected, one must have at least a 3.30 GPA and impressive on-court accolades as well.

Smith is just the sixth Zag in program history to earn the extremely prestigious award. Smith is third on the Zags in scoring at 10.3 points per game and second in rebounding at 6.1 per game, which is also 16th in the WCC. She leads the team and is sixth in the conference averaging 1.9 steals per game and is third on the team at 2.7 assists per game, and has recorded three double-doubles this season.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, with first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in March.
