SERIES NOTES:
Gonzaga and Oregon meet for the 11th time. The Ducks have won the last four meetings, and carry a six-game unbeaten streak in the series. The Zags' lone win in the series came in 2002, a 1-0 shutout win in Eugene. The programs have met once in the past seven seasons, a 2-1 Oregon win in the 2016 Outrigger Soccer Classic in Hawaii. Nine current Zags played in that game, including three that started. Gonzaga is 11-61-4 against current Pac-12 Conference members all-time. The Bulldogs won their last match against a Pac-12 foe, Oregon State, 1-0, in Corvallis on Friday.
SCOUTING THE DUCKS:
- Oregon is coming off of a 2-0 home win over Dartmouth Friday.
- Emma Eddy and Bayley Bruner both scored goals for the Ducks. Eden Hardy and Zoe Hasenauer had the assists. Halla Hinriksdottir made two saves.
- Oregon outshot Dartmouth, 12-4. Three Ducks took two shots in the victory.
- Oregon's 1-1 draw versus No. 18 Kansas was the first tie with a ranked non-conference opponent since 2011.
- Eddy leads the team with three goals and eight shots. Marissa Everett has two goals and an assist.
- Hinriksdottir has recorded 12 saves in Oregon's first five games, with a 0.77 goals against average. She has a .750 save percentage.
- Last season, Oregon went 8-11 overall and 2-9 in the Pac-12 Conference.
- The Ducks were chosen to finish 10th in the Pac-12 Preseason Poll.
PERSONAL ASSISTANT:
- Sam Heilman was credited with an impressive three assists in the win at Oregon State.
- It was the most assists by a Zag in the last 10 seasons, and the most by a player so far this year in the West Coast Conference.
- Heilman now has a team-high four assists.
SEVENTEEN AGAIN:
- Sophia Viviano had another great game at Oregon State, scoring a goal and recording two assists.
- Viviano moved into the Top-10 in program history, with her eighth and ninth career assists, which is tied for ninth all-time at GU.
