PORTLAND, Ore. – The Gonzaga volleyball team fell in straight sets (25-22, 25-18, 25-19) at Portland Saturday afternoon inside the Chiles Center.
Gonzaga (6-15, 0-9 WCC) finished with 31 kills hitting .126 with 29 assists, 50 digs and 5.0 blocks.
The Bulldogs were led by
Kennedy Croft with a team-high seven kills to go along with 12 digs, two assists and a service ace. Croft is now tied for eighth all-time for aces in a single season (rally-scoring era) with 29. Both
Chapin Gray and
Payton Mack added six kills each, while
Jenna Kuehn added a team-high 20 assists.
Portland improved to 11-9 overall on the season with a 3-6 mark in WCC play. The Pilots were led Liz Reich with 15 kills of 34 swings with one error to hit .412 for the match. Shayla Hoeft added eight kills and three blocks while Kellie Hughes finished with a match-high 37 assists.
The Bulldogs return home to the Martin Centre to host Pepperdine Thursday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m.
