SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga men's rowing team will conclude its fall slate this Sunday, Nov. 3 at the Head of the Lake Regatta on Lake Washington.
"After a great weekend of racing in California we returned to some really cold temperatures that altered our practice week drastically," head men's rowing coach
Dan Gehn said. "The team has rolled with the changes nicely, and we are looking forward to the racing in Seattle."
Hosted by the Lake Washington Rowing Club and the University of Washington, the Head of the Lake Regatta welcomes rowers from around the region and country, and it is in its 40th year. The regatta features a three-mile course that starts in Lake Union, cuts through Portage Bay before finishing in Lake Washington near the UW Conibear Shellhouse.
The regatta is set to begin at 8 a.m. with the men's collegiate 8+. The Zags will be racing their varsity eight, JV eight and third varsity eight.
