COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Gonzaga baseball outhit No. 20/22 Texas A&M 8-5, but the Zags could only push one run across in a 3-1 loss in the rubber match of the series in College Station, Texas, on Sunday.
Gonzaga (5-8) took the early lead, but the Aggies (15-3) manufactured three runs and stifled the Zags offense for the final seven innings to get the win.
GU allowed just five hits in the game, getting 5.0 innings of one-run ball from

Mason Wells to keep the Aggies within striking distance.

Ryan Sullivan hit his sixth homer of the year to provide the only run for GU. He had two hits in the game.
Gonzaga struck first in the top of the second with Sullivan's solo home run to lead off the inning. GU put one more runner on in the frame with a double by
Mason Marenco, but the Aggies got out of the jam.
In the bottom of the second, Texas A&M countered with a two-RBI double that fell on the foul line down right field. Trogrlic-Iverson then came on in the third and kept Texas A&M scoreless for the next four innings.
The Aggies then extended the lead in the seventh with a run-scoring single to make it 3-1, but GU ended the inning when centerfielder
Guthrie Morrison made a highlight-reel sliding catch, then doubled off the runner at first.
The Zags put two on with one out in the eighth, but a pair of flyouts ended the GU threat.
Gonzaga will have a travel day on Monday before taking on Utah in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. That game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
