2019: Played in eleven games with nine starts on the season...went 2-3 with a 5.29 ERA...struck out 37 batters in 34.0 innings pitched, setting a career high...pitched 6.0 innings on February 18 against Minnesota, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out eleven batters...pitched two scoreless innings on March 30 against San Diego...named WCC All-Academic Team Honorable Mention for the second year in a row.
2018: Appeared in nine games on the season with five starts…posted a 1-0 record with a 4.02 ERA…struck out 28 batters in 31.1 innings pitched…pitched 6.0 innings at Oregon on March 13, holding the Ducks to one run on two hits with five strikeouts…pitched 5.2 innings of relief against Washington State on April 17, allowing just one run on five hits with eight strikeouts to get his first win of the season…named WCC All-Academic Team Honorable Mention.
2017: Made three appearances as a redshirt sophomore, starting one game...0-1 record with 8.53 ERA...struck out eight batters in 6.1 innings...made season debut Feb. 17 versus Indiana, pitching 2.0 innings and allowing two runs on two hits...one run in one relief inning March 5 at California...started May 22 at Fresno State, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing three runs...struck out season-high four batters.
2016: Went 1-0 with a 2.77 ERA in 13.0 innings as a redshirt freshman...made first collegiate appearance in season opener Feb. 19 at Grand Canyon...fanned four in 1.2 innings Feb. 26 vs. Texas Southern...tossed scoreless inning with two strikeouts March 29 at Washington...earned first start and win April 5 vs. Washington State, tossing 5.0 innings of scoreless action while striking out five...started at Washington State one week later...another scoreless inning in relief May 28 in WCC Championships against Saint Mary's.
2015: Redshirted freshman season.
Gonzaga Prep High School: Played baseball for four years at Gonzaga Prep…named Greater Spokane League MVP in 2013 and played on the Kansas City Royals’ Area Code Team that year as well…posted a 0.22 ERA and .412 batting average…two-time member of First Team All-GSL…top-ranked prospect in Washington according to Baseball Northwest…also played basketball for two years…made the Honor Roll as well.
Club Experience: Played club ball for the Spokane Dodgers.
Personal: Parents are Maureen and Charles Blatner…has one sister named Andrea…mother played volleyball at the University of Portland while father played baseball at Portland State…majoring in criminal justice…wants to go into law enforcement or protective services after graduation…chose Gonzaga since it was close to home and offered a Jesuit education.
