Gonzaga Hosts No. 17 Washington State Thursday

Zags are unbeaten in 19 of their last 21 home games

QUICK KICKS:
- Gonzaga and Washington St. meet for the 26th time.
- The Cougars own a 23-1-1 lead in the series, but GU won the last meeting between the programs.
- The victory was the first-ever for the Zags in the series, beating WSU 1-0 in Spokane in 2016.
- Gonzaga is the only current member of the West Coast Conference that Colorado State, which started its program in 2013, has ever played.
- The Bulldogs are 13th in the nation averaging 10 shots on goal per game, and 19th averaging 19.25 shots per outing. GU is second in the WCC in both of those.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS:
- Washington State enters the week the No. 1-ranked scoring offense in the country at 5.33 goals per game and is #1 overall in assists per game at 5.67 (17 total).
- WSU has outscored its first three opponents, 16-3, including a 6-3 win over James Madison Sunday. All six of the Cougars' goals were in the first half.
- Nine different Cougars have scored on the year with Morgan Weaver and Averie Collins leading the way with three each.
 
LOOKING AHEAD ... SEATTLE:
- Gonzaga hosts Seattle Sunday at 1 p.m.
- The Redhawks have a 5-4-0 advantage in the all-time series, but GU has won the last two meetings, including the latest, 1-0, in Seattle last season.
- After opening the season with a draw at Washington, Seattle has won back-to-back games at home over James Madison and Portland State.
 
NO PLACE LIKE HOME:
- The Zags are unbeaten in 19 of their last 21 games at home (17-3-2). GU is 15-3-2 at home under Watkins.
- Gonzaga has not dropped a home game to a non-conference opponent since a 2-0 loss to Oklahoma State on Sept. 13, 2015.
- Since that loss, the Zags are 12-0-3 against non-conference opponents at home, with eight straight wins.
 
AGAINST RANKED OPPONENTS:
- Gonzaga is 6-69-4 against ranked foes all-time.
- Last year, GU tied No. 25 Pepperdine, 0-0, in Spokane.
- The Zags last win over a ranked team was 3-2 over Memphis in Spokane on Sept. 17, 2017.
