SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga women's golf program has added Chaewon Baek to their roster for the upcoming season.

Baek hails from Langley, B.C., graduating this spring from R.E. Mountain Secondary. A five-time IMG Junior World Championship qualifier, was the champion at the 2019 AJGA Open at Sugarloaf and second at the 2018 AJGA Open at Big Sky tournament.
Baek carries a 3.7 GPA and is planning on studying business administration at GU.
"I chose Gonzaga is because it is a private university with quality academic and athletic programs," Baek said. "I believe the coaches will help me successfully achieve my goals to its fullest."
Head coach Brad Rickel on Baek: "We are very excited to add Chaewon to our team. She will be a perfect fit for our program. She is passionate about school and golf, with a tremendous amount of tournament golf experience. She has played in five IMG Junior World Championships and has had five top 10 finishes, with one win, in AJGA events. She has played against great competition and proved she belongs. Chaewon will be a great player for us and we will look for her to make an immediate impact when she arrives."
