SAN MATEO, Calif. — Gonzaga women's golfers Quynn Duong and Jessica Mangrobang were selected Preseason All-West Coast Conference the league announced Wednesday.
 
The Zags were fourth in the preseason conference poll. The coaches' poll and preseason All-WCC team were selected solely by a vote of the conference's five head coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own teams and student-athletes.
 
Duong was the 2018-19 WCC Freshman of the Year and earned All-WCC first-team recognition that season. She was named a WGCA All-American Scholar last season, and also earned Academic All-WCC and Gonzaga Dean's List honors. During the 2019-20 season, Duong played all six tournaments and was the Zags scoring leader at 72.60 strokes per round. She won the individual title at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, helped lead the team to tournament wins at both the Harbottle Invite and the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational. Duong posted four top-20 finishes on the year.
 
Mangrobang had two top-five finishes in 2019-20, tying for third at the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate and fifth at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational. She had four rounds at par or lower, with a 74.78 season average.
 
Pepperdine was picked to win the West Coast Conference by the narrowest of margins over BYU in the poll. The Waves collected 15 points and three first-place votes while the Cougars picked up 14 points and two first-place votes. San Francisco (10) was picked third while Gonzaga (7) and Santa Clara (4) were fourth and fifth, respectively.
 
Pepperdine won the 2019 WCC Championships after BYU had won the previous three. The 2020 championships were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
