LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The Gonzaga women's soccer team matched the program record with their seventh straight victory, winning at New Mexico State Sunday, 4-0.
During the Zags' (9-1-0) seven game win streak, GU has outscored its opponents, 27-1. The Bulldogs are outscoring their foes this season, 34-3. Gonzaga entered the day third in the nation in total goals and eighth in goals against average. It was also fourth in shots per goal and second in shots on goal per game. The Zags outshot NMSU, 19-4, with a 11-3 edge in shots on goal.

Maddie Kemp took a match-high seven shots Sunday, placing four on goal. She is fourth in the nation in shots per game, and second in shots on goal per game. The redshirt sophomore scored her eighth goal of the season against New Mexico State (4-5-0), she came into the game 10th in the nation in goals.
Erin Healy scored her second goal of the season just 34 seconds in the game to give GU the early 1-0 lead. Kemp's eighth goal came in the 36th minute off
Kate Doyle's second assist of the season.
Haley Archuleta's 50th minute goal gave the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead. Healy completed her brace with a goal in the 69th minute.
Gonzaga had 60 percent of the possession in the match and had an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks. The Bulldog defense forced their seventh shutout of the season.
Lyza Bosselmann made two saves in the GU net. The Aggies' Makenna Gottschalk had seven saves.
After four straight road games, the Zags return home to host Omaha Saturday in their final non-conference game of the season. The Mavericks (3-3-2) had four-game unbeaten streak end Friday with a 3-0 loss at Oklahoma State. The Bulldogs are five goals, two assists and 12 points shy from matching those program single season records. Kemp is currently tied for eighth for the most goals in a single season.
