THE TIP OFF
- The Gonzaga Bulldogs travel to No. 20 Brigham Young University this Saturday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. Pacific Time.
- Gonzaga is coming off another dominant West Coast Conference win. The Zags defeated Saint Mary's for the second time this season, 85-49, on Thursday night in Spokane. Senior Melody Kempton recorded her second double-double of the year with 17 points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Junior Kaylynne Truong led the team overall with 18 points and four assists.
- Kaylynne Truong leads the Zags with 11.4 points a game and her sister Kayleigh Truong is right behind her with 11.1 ppg. Melody Kempton is leading the team in boards with 6.6 a game. while averaging 10.7 points a game. Yvonne Ejim has a team-high 35 blocks and 38 steals as she is averaging 20 minutes off the bench.
- Cierra Walker is ranked 31st in the country and first in the WCC in three-point field-goal percentage as she has averaged 41.7 percent so far this year.
- Melody Kempton is currently ranked third in the conference in field-goal percentage at 53.1 percent.
- From the charity stripe, the Zags are first in the WCC in free throws made (345) and second in free-throw percentage 77.5, which also ranks 16th in the nation.
- Defensively, the Bulldogs are first in the conference in scoring defense with 55.6 points. From beyond the arc, Gonzaga is shooting at 35.2 percent, which is first in the WCC.
- The Zags are averaging 40.5 rebounds a game and a 10.3 rebound margin, which ranks eighth in the nation.
- In conference games won this year, GU has an average margin of victory 18.6 by points.
- Gonzaga has been doing well on the road this year as the team has gone 10-2 overall and 2-0 at neutral sites. 
- Last season, the Zags advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-straight year under head coach Lisa Fortier.
- Gonzaga returns two starters and seven letterwinners from last season's squad that claimed the Zags' fifth consecutive West Coast Conference regular season title.
-The Zags won their ninth WCC Tournament Title in 2021 with a thrilling victory over BYU in the championship game.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
- Brigham Young is currently first in the WCC and is 22-2 overall and 12-1 in the conference. 
- The Cougars are coming off a 77-54 win over LMU on Thursday. This marked their 29th-straight home win over the last two seasons. 
- Against LMU, Shaylee Gonzales led the Cougars with 19 points in the game, adding eight rebounds, three assists and a steal. Paisley Harding gave BYU 18 points, recording three assists and three steals, while Sara Hamson added nine points with three rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
- Shaylee Gonzales leads BYU with averaging 18.8 points a game and Paisley Harding is right behind her with 16.9.
- BYU is ranked No. 4 in scoring margin at +20.0 points per game and ranks No. 10 in scoring offense at 78.9 points per game. 
- The Cougars are No. 2 in assists per game (19.9) and No. 4 in assist to turnover ratio (1.47), No. 3 in field goal percentage (47.7) and No. 23 in field goal percentage defense (35.8).
-The 2021-22 BYU women's basketball team was picked to win the West Coast Conference championship with 80 total points and eight first-place votes in the annual WCC preseason poll.
