THE TIP OFF
- No. 1/1 Gonzaga visits San Francisco in the penultimate game of the regular season Thursday at 6 p.m. It's the 89th meeting between the programs and the Zags own the all-time series 66-22.
- GU has won 22 straight meetings in the series, including nine consecutive victories at USF. The Dons last win in the series came on Feb. 18, 2012, 66-65, at San Francisco.

Drew Timme are seventh and 13th in the nation shooting 62 percent and 59.6 percent from the field. Holmgren is fourth with 87 blocks and fourth averaging 3.48 blocks per game. He's also 11th grabbing 7.8 defensive rebounds per outing.
- The Zags are first in KenPom's rankings (second offensive efficiency and sixth efficient defense).
- The Bulldogs have won 75 of their last 79 games, and since the start of the 2019-20 season, GU has won a national-best 85 out of their last 90 games. Gonzaga is also 56-3 since the start of 2020-21.

- San Francisco is rolling in off a 104-71 victory at Pacific Monday. Four Dons finished in double-digit scoring led by Khalil Shabazz's 21 points with five three-pointers. Jamaree Bouyea added 15 points and 11 assists. USF made 59 percent from the field, its best output of WCC play.
- Bouyea is fourth in the West Coast Conference averaging 17.2 points, second playing 36.5 minutes, third with 1.6 steals, fourth making 2.2 three-pointers and seventh with 3.7 assists.
- Shabazz is second in the WCC making 1.9 steals per game. He chips in 13.2 points per outing.
- Massalski is second averaging 9.5 rebounds, third at 2.3 blocks per game, and 10th scoring 13.9 points. He's grabbing 11.5 rebounds per conference game, which leads the league.
- Gabe Stefanini is scoring a team-best 17.4 points per game over the last five games, while shooting 50.9 from the field.

HOLMGREN NAMED WCC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Chet Holmgren earned WCC Freshman of the Week recognition for the ninth time this season Monday.
- Holmgren earned his fifth Freshman of the Week award in the last six weeks after picking up back-to-back double-doubles in Gonzaga's wins at Pepperdine and at home against Santa Clara last week.
- The freshman scored 18 points with 17 rebounds at Pepperdine before notching 10 points and 10 rebounds against the Broncos.
- This is Holmgren's ninth WCC Freshman of the Week award and his 10th WCC weekly honor after being named Player of the Week on Feb. 7.
- Holmgren's former high school teammate, and former Zag,
Jalen Suggs received WCC Freshman of the Week honors 10 times last season.
- The 2020-21 season was the first year of the honor. The WCC has one more edition of the award this season.
