THE TIP OFF
- The Gonzaga Bulldogs host No. 16 Brigham Young University this Saturday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m.
- Gonzaga is coming off another dominant West Coast Conference win. The Zags defeated Pacific for the second time this season, 79-38, on Thursday to stay undefeated in the WCC. This marked the second 41-point win for Gonzaga as the Bulldogs also defeated Pacific by that margin on Jan. 13, 92-51.

Kayleigh Truong leads the Zags with 11.2 points a game and her sister
Kaylynne Truong is right behind her with 11.1 ppg. Kaylynne is averaging 3.6 assists a game, while Kayleigh is averaging 3.4 after having to miss three games earlier this season.
Melody Kempton is leading the team in boards with 6.1 a game. while averaging 25.2 minutes a game.
Anamaria Virjoghe has a team-high 27 blocks this season as
Yvonne Ejim leads the team with 32 steals, 26 blocks and averages 5.5 rebounds a game.

Cierra Walker is ranked 20th in the country and first in the WCC in three-point field-goal percentage as she has averaged 42.7 percent this year.

Melody Kempton is currently ranked first in the conference in field-goal percentage at 56.3 percent.
- From the charity stripe, the Zags are first in the WCC in free throws made (290) and free-throw percentage (77.7, which also ranks 11th in the nation.
- Defensively, the Bulldogs are first in the conference in scoring defense with 54.7 points, which is also good for 19th in the country.
- The Zags are averaging 40.4 rebounds a game and a 10.8 rebound margin, which ranks fifth in the nation.
- In conference games this year, GU has an average margin of victory by 20.4 points.
- Last season, the Zags advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-straight year under head coach
Lisa Fortier.
- Gonzaga returns two starters and seven letterwinners from last season's squad that claimed the Zags' fifth consecutive West Coast Conference regular season title.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
- The Cougars are currently second in the WCC and is coming off a 75-64 loss at Portland. The team is 18-2 overall and 8-1 in conference play. The other lone loss for the Cougars was on Dec. 10 against Oklahoma, when they lost 99-91.
- The Cougars have four players averaging double digit scoring so for this year, Shaylee Gonzales (18.5), Paisley Harding (16.3), Lauren Gustin (11.2) and Tegan Graham (10.5).
- Gustin also leads BYU with 12.1 rebounds a game and Graham leads the team in assists with five a game.Â
- BYU is ranked No. 4 in scoring margin at +20.6 points per game and ranks No. 12 in scoring offense at 78.9 points per game. The Cougars are No. 3 in assists per game (20.1) and No. 4 in assist to turnover ratio (1.48), No. 5 in field goal percentage (47.1) and No. 13 in field goal percentage defense (34.8).
- BYU returns nearly its entire roster one year removed from advancing to the second round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament where it took eventual NCAA Runner-Up Arizona to the brink.
- The 2021-22 BYU women's basketball team was picked to win the West Coast Conference
