THE TIP OFF
- No. 2/1 Gonzaga hosts Pacific in a West Coast Conference contest Thursday at 6 p.m. It's the 21st meeting between the programs and the Zags own the all-time series 19-1.
- GU has won 17 straight versus the Tigers. Pacific's lone win in the series came in 1976, 70-60, in Stockton.
- The Zags have won 29 straight conference games, which is the longest active streak of its kind in the nation. Gonzaga's last league loss was a 91-78 setback at BYU on Feb. 22, 2020. The Bulldogs have won 26 consecutive WCC games by double-digits by an average margin of 24.96 points.
- GU is one win from its 25th straight 20-win season, which is the second longest active streak in the nation.
- The Bulldogs ride a national-best, and program-best, 64-game home win streak, with the last loss in 2018.
- Gonzaga is coming off a 90-57 win at Brigham Young Saturday.
Chet Holmgren had 20 points, 17 rebounds, six assists and five blocks.

- The Zags are one of eight unbeaten teams in conference play. GU is on a 12-game win streak, the third-longest active streak in the nation. It's the sixth straight season Gonzaga has had a 10-game or more win streak.
- The Bulldogs are 8-0 in WCC play for the third straight season, they have opened 13-0 the past three seasons.
- GU has won 10 straight true road games, which is the longest active streak in the country.
- The Zags appear in the Associated Press poll for the 109th consecutive ranking, the longest current streak in the nation, with Villanova second at 54. GU is the only program in the country to appear in every AP poll since 2017, with a No. 5 average ranking. The last time the Bulldogs were not in the Top 5 was Dec. 9, 2019 (No. 6).
- GU is first in the nation in scoring offense (90.9), field goal percentage (53.6), scoring margin (25.6), two-point percentage (62.7) and in defensive rebounds (32.5), second in assists per game (19.3), third in rebounds per game (42.5), fourth in rebound margin (9.4), sixth in assist-turnover ratio (1.6), and eighth in blocks per game (6).

Chet Holmgren and
Drew Timme are fifth and 10th in the nation shooting 64.2 percent and 60.4 percent from the field. Holmgren is sixth with 73 blocks and fifth in the country averaging 3.48 blocks per game. Holmgren is third in the nation shooting 75.2 percent inside-the-arc.
- The Zags are first in KenPom's rankings (second offensive efficiency and 10th efficient defense).
- The Bulldogs have won 71 of their last 75 games, and since the start of the 2019-20 season, GU has won a national-best 81 out of their last 86 games. Gonzaga is also 50-3 since the start of 2020-21.

- Pacific is playing its second game in-a-row against a Top-25 ranked team after falling at No. 21 USC, 74-68, Tuesday. Alphonso Anderson led the Tigers with 22 points and nine rebounds. Pacific led by eight at halftime.
- Anderson averages a team-high 10.9 points per game, followed closely by Jeremiah Bailey at 10.8 points.
- Anderson, a senior transfer from Utah State, grabs a team-best 6.6 rebounds per outing as well.
- Pierre Crockrell II has dished out a team-high 95 assists.
- The Tigers are 0-10 in true road games this season.

HOLMGREN SWEEPS WCC WEEKLY HONORS

Chet Holmgren swept WCC weekly honors, garnering Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week accolades. This marks the second time this season a men's basketball player swept the weekly awards (BYU's Traore on Dec. 27).
- Holmgren posted back-to-back 20-point performances in the Gonzaga wins last week - 23 points at San Diego and 20 points during Gonzaga's 90-57 win at BYU.
- Against the Cougars, he notched a career-best 17 rebounds, along with a season-high tying six assists and five blocks, becoming the fifth Div. 1 player since 2010 to have at least 20 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and five blocks in a game.
- The Minnesota native grabbed 12 rebounds at San Diego, giving him double-doubles in each contest.
- This is Holmgren's first Player of the Week honor this season, and eighth Freshman of the Week accolade.
- It is the Zags' fourth Player of the Week honor this season.

Chet Holmgren has a team-high 98 points (19.6) on 36-of-50 shooting from the field (72 percent) in his last five games. He's made 14 of his 23 three-pointers (60.9 percent) during those games. The freshman has grabbed 58 (11.6) rebounds over the span, with 18 blocks (3.6).
- Per ESPN stats, he is the first Div. 1 player to average at least 15 points, 10 rebounds, three blocks and three three-pointers in any four-game span over the last decade.
- Over the last nine games, Holmgren averages 16.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.1 blocks. During that span he's shooting 66.3 percent from the field, 56.3 percent from three-point range (18-of-32), and 24-of-32 from the free-throw line.

Andrew Nembhard is dishing out 6.5 assists in West Coast Conference play, which leads the league. Pacific's Pierre Crockrell II is the next closest at second.
- It's currently the most by a Zag since Jeremy Pargo averaged 6.5 in WCC action during the 2007-08 season.
- Nembhard also tops the conference with a 5.2 assist-to-turnover ratio.
- He only has 10 turnovers in WCC play to his 52 assists.
- Over the past five games, the senior is averaging 8.67 assists. He has 26 assists to just three turnovers. Over the same span Nembhard is scoring 13.4 points and has made all 14 of his free-throw attempts.
- The Canadian native is averaging 10.6 points league game, while shooting 87.1 percent from the line (27-of-31).
