SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga men's tennis team earned a 4-0 victory over the University of Montana, who had previously been undefeated. This extends the Bulldogs' winning streak to three, and the Zags have won five of their last seven matches. 

The Zags got off to a hot start in the doubles competition, as Gonzaga's Sasha Trkulja and Matthew Hollingworth claimed a 6-1 victory in the No.1 spot over Montana's Ed Pudney and Oisin Shaffrey.

The doubles point was clinched by Gonzaga as Oliver Andersson and Theo McDonald earned a 6-4 win over Montana's Milo Benn and Gustav Theilgaard on court three. Gonzaga's Leon Roider and Tom Hann's court two match against Montana's Lawrence Sciglitano and Moritz Stoeger went unfinished after the Zags clinched the doubles point. 

As the singles competition began, Gonzaga earned their second team point with Roider's 6-2, 6-3 victory over Benn on court six. The Zags' lead stretched to three as Andersson won his court three match against Shaffrey 6-4, 6-2.

Hann helped Gonzaga clinch the match with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Stoeger in spot No. 5. All other matches went unfinished, as Gonzaga had clinched the 4-0 victory. 

Up next:  The Gonzaga men's tennis team also remain in Spokane, as they face Boise State in the Stevens Center on Sunday, March 20th at 11 a.m.

In their past three meetings, Gonzaga is 2-1 against Boise State, and each match has been decided by a single team point.
