MTEN: Zags Sweep San Francisco, Increase Winning Streak to Six

The Bulldogs return to the Stevens Center this Sunday to take on Santa Clara

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga men's tennis team faced San Francisco earlier today, and only dropped a single set in the 4-0 victory.
 
The Zags' dominance began with the doubles competition, as Gonzaga's Leon Roider and Tom Hann earned a 6-2 court two victory over USF's Mitch Johnson and Nil Giraldez.

In the No.1 spot, the doubles point was clinched after Gonzaga's Sasha Trkulja and Matthew Hollingworth claimed the win over USF's Nitzan Ricklis and Phuc Huynh, 6-4. Gonzaga's Oliver Andersson and Theo McDonald's court three match against USF's Stevie Gould and Nikola Kuraica went unfinished, as Gonzaga had already clinched the doubles point.
 
Moving to the singles competition, Gonzaga's lead increased as Arthus De La Bassetiere defeated Johnson 6-0, 6-2 in the No.4 spot.

On court two, Hollingworth extended the lead with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Ricklis. The match was clinched for Gonzaga after Hann defeated Gould 6-1, 6-3 on court three.This marked the fourth-straight match that Hann has clinched the victory for the Zags.
 
All other matches went unfinished, as Gonzaga had already clinched the 4-0 victory.
 
Up next: In their next match, the Zags are home against Santa Clara on Sunday, April 3rd at 10 am. In their past four matches, Gonzaga is 2-2 against Santa Clara.
