SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Gonzaga women's tennis team had an away match today against the University of San Francisco and fell 4-1.

Today's match began with USF's Rita Colyer and Maria Martinez Vaquero defeating Gonzaga's Adrianna Sosnowska and Kianna Oda 6-1 on court one. USF clinched the doubles point after Simran Chhabra and Caragh Courtney earned a court three victory over Gonzaga's Cate Broerman and Tiegan Aitken, 6-4. Gonzaga's Jenna Sloan and Frederikke Svarre's court two match against USF's Chiho Mushika and Mya Bui went unfinished, as the doubles point had already been clinched by USF.

As the event moved to the singles competition, Gonzaga's Caroline Wernli fell to Bui on court six to Bui, 6-3,6-2. Jenna Sloan defeated Chiho Mushika, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in the No. 2 spot to put GU on the board.

USF's Martinez Vaquero earned a 6-4, 6-3 court one victory over Broerman. On court five, the match was clinched for USF after Aitken fell to Colyer in a three-set battle, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.

All other matches went unfinished, as USF had clinched the 4-1 victory.
