HENDERSON, Nev. – The Gonzaga men's golf team completed the final round of the West Coast Conference Championship tournament at Reflection Bay Golf Club on Saturday. The three-day event played host to nine WCC schools and 45 individual golfers. The Bulldogs entered the final round in eighth place at 20-over (596).

In Round 3, Gonzaga posted their best team score of the season, combining to shoot eight-under (280). Three Zags posted par-or-better scores on the day, and the team tallied 48 pars and 23 birdies. They would finish with a total of 155 and 48.

Charlie Magruder continued his climb up the individual leaderboard on Saturday, rising six spots after posting a score of 67 (-5), his lowest of the tournament. After a birdie on the first hole and a bogey at the second, Magruder rolled through the final 16 holes, making five more birdies and 11 pars. He finished in a tie for ninth place at three-under (213), tallying 30 pars and 14 birdies for the tournament.

Zach Stocker also posted his lowest score in Round 3, shooting 66 (-6) to finish in a tie for 15th at one-under (215). The sophomore made six of his of eight third-round birdies in the final ten holes, adding eight pars to his card as well. He finished with 29 total pars and 14 total birdies.

Matthew Ruel followed suit, posting his tournament best-score of 72 (E) in the final round, continuing his improvement from Rounds 1 and 2. He tied for 33rd place at eight-over (224), making 26 pars and 11 birdies.

Holden Backes shot five-over (77) in Round 3 and finished in 37th place at ten-over (226), combining for 33 pars and six birdies. Andrew Reinhardt substituted in on Saturday and posted a score of 75 (+3), making 11 pars and two birdies.

As a team, Gonzaga finished in a tie for seventh place at 12-over (876). The Bulldogs improved by 12 strokes in each of the final two rounds, posting scores of 304 (+16), 292 (+4), and 280 (-8).

Loyola Marymount's Riley Lewis led the entire tournament and finished atop the individual leaderboard, combining to shoot seven-under (209), edging Pepperdine's Joey Vrzich and William Mouw by one stroke. It was the Waves who took home the team title, posting a combined score of 17-under (847).
