RIVERSIDE, Calif. – In the third-straight road game for the Gonzaga men's soccer team, the Zags fell to California Baptist, 3-1.
In the first half, Cal Baptist got on the board first in the third minute. Bryan Iliohan scored on the right side of the goal, which was assisted by Brian Gonzalez, to give the Lancers the early 1-0 lead.
The Zags responded in the 14th minute as Kigeya scored from the left side of the goal. The score was assisted by
Johnny Hansen, which tied the game at 1-1.
CBU scored again in the 22nd minute with another goal from Iliohan to give CBU the 2-1 lead with over 20 minutes still remaining in the half.
After 45 minutes, the Bulldogs trailed 2-1, despite outshooting the Lancers 7-3 overall.
Loic Baures led the Zags with two shots in the opening half as the team also took four corner kicks compared to CBU's one.
Both teams were held scoreless in the second half until California Baptist extended its lead to 3-1 after a goal from Grady Kozak in the 87th minute. The goal was assisted by Luis Muller.
Kigeya led the Zags with his first goal of the year and took four shots on the night, including two on goal.

Kupa'a Fernandez and Baures all took two shots with
Jorge Aspas also recording one.
Overall, CBU outshot Gonzaga 13-12 with eight shots being on goal for the Lancers.
Johan Garibay made five saves for Gonzaga and the Bulldogs recorded five corner kicks during the 90 minutes.
Records: The Zags are now 2-2-0 against the Lancers in program history.
CBU moves to 2-1-0 on the year and Gonzaga now sits at 0-3-0.
