Gonzaga Picks Up Road Win at Weber State, 3-0

Alexander, Gray and Healy score for the Zags

OGDEN, Utah – Gonzaga women's soccer shutout Weber State on the road, 2-0, at Wildcat Soccer Field Thursday.
 
The Zags (3-2-2) won their second straight game in dominating fashion. GU controlled 56 percent of the possession in the match, with 74 percent of that possession on the attacking side of the field. The Bulldogs outshot WSU, 17-6, with an 11-3 advantage in shots on goal. Gonzaga also took five of the game's six corner kicks.
 
Hannah Gray scored her first collegiate goal in the 29th minute. She found the lower left-hand corner of the net off Giana Riley's second assist of the season.
 
In the 73rd minute, Erin Healy found the back of the net for the fourth time this season with a header from a Lauren Elwer cross. Healy moved to fourth all-time at GU with her 19th career goal.
 
Paige Alexander headed in her first collegiate goal with four minutes in regulation. Marissa Garcia played a ball in the box and Alexander struck it low past the Wildcats' (1-7-0) keeper.
 
Gonzaga forced Weber State's Mekell Moss into eight saves, while Lyza Bosselmann had three in the GU net. Maddie Kemp took a game-high four shots with two on frame.
 
The Zags remain on the road and travel to Idaho State Sunday. GU and the Bengals (1-4-2) are scheduled for a 12 p.m. Pacific Time start. Live video will be on ESPN Plus and live stats will be available on GoZags.com.
