FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Gonzaga men's golfer
Zach Stocker tied for 26
th at the season-opening Ram Masters Invitational hosted by Colorado State Tuesday.
Stocker was one-over (71) in the final round, finishing three-over (213) in the tournament. He made three birdies and 11 pars on the last day of the event.
In his first collegiate event,
Ethan Flynn tied for 36
th at seven-over (217). For the second straight round he carded a 73 (+3) Tuesday.
Jace Minni and
Brentt Salas placed 64
th at 67
th. Minni was eight-over (78) in Round 3, while Salas climbed eight spots on the leaderboard after a two-over (72) final round. Minni finished 15-over (225), and Salas was 16-over (226).
Guillermo Polo Bodart was also in his first college event. He tied for 72
nd at 18-over (228).
As a team, Gonzaga was 37-over (877) in the tournament. The Bulldogs matched their second round total with a 294 (+14) total in the third round.
Utah Valley's Brady McKinlay took medalist honors at nine-under (201). He carded a 64 (-6) in the final round.
The tournament host Rams won the event, coasting to the title by 11 strokes. Colorado State was 17-under (823) in the tournament, and 11-under (269) in the third and final round. CSU Fullerton was second at six-under (834).
