SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Gonzaga men's soccer team wrapped up the regular season with a 1-0 loss at San Diego.
In the third minute, San Diego scored with a goal from Cesar Bahena and an assist from Mason Tunbridge.
The goal ended up being the lone score of the game as both teams were held scoreless for the whole second half.
Overall, Gonzaga took seven shots with four of those on goal.
Cam Bain and
Victor Gadea both recorded two shots. The Toreros had 10 shots on the night with only two allowed on goal. Stuart Herringer was in net for the Zags and made one save.
This game wraps up the regular season for the Gonzaga men's soccer team. GU ended the season 3-9-6 on the year and 1-5-1 in conference play.
Stefano Campisi led the team with five goals and four assists this season to record a team-high 14 points.
Wessel Sprangers was the main goalkeeper this season and saw action in 14 games to record 55 saves in 1,254 minutes.
