Yvonne Ejim Named WCC Player of the Week

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Yvonne Ejim of Gonzaga and Dyani Ananiev of Portland headline the Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Players of the Week once again, the league announced on Monday. Ejim was voted the Conference's Player of the Week, while Ananiev was voted the league's Freshman of the Week.

Last week's ESPN and USBWA National Player of the Week, Yvonne Ejim continues to play at an elite level for the No. 23 Zags. Ejim recorded her fourth double double this season, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds against Rice. Against Cal, Ejim had 21 points and nine rebounds. She averaged a near double double this week at 19.5 points and 9.5 rebounds to help Gonzaga beat both Cal and Rice on the road. The Bulldogs are enjoying a four-game winning streak. This is the third-straight week that Ejim has won WCC Player of the Week.
