SPOKANE, Wash. --  The Gonzaga women's tennis team faced the University of Pacific in a conference dual match earlier this afternoon and swept the Tigers, 7-0. Entering the match, Gonzaga had won seven of the previous eight matches against Pacific.
 
In the doubles competition, Gonzaga earned an early lead when Cate Broerman and Jenna Sloan picked up a 6-1 court two victory against Pacific's Tomi Main and Megan Carmichael. In the No. 3 spot, Gonzaga clinched the doubles point when Tiegan Aitken and Rose Hayes defeated Pacific's Danielle Zamora and Alexis Sam by a score of 6-4. The doubles competition concluded when Pacific's Klara Kosan and Karina Chao earned a 7-5 win over Gonzaga's Adrianna Sosnowska and Kianna Oda on court one.
 
Gonzaga built on their early success in singles, as Sloan defeated Pacific's Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle by a score of 6-3, 6-1 on court four. Shortly after, Oda picked up a 6-1, 6-2 court three victory over Main. Gonzaga clinched the team victory when Hayes earned a 6-1, 7-5 win against Zamora in the No.6 spot.
 
The Zags continued to shine in the final three singles matches. On court five, Aitken battled back from losing the first set 6-0, winning the next two sets against Sam by a score of 6-3, 6-1. In the No.1 spot, Broerman won a back-and-forth match against Kosan, ending with a score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. In the final match of the day, Sosnowska built on her excellent senior season with a 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 win against Chao.
 
Up Next: Following today's match, the Zags will play their regular season home finale tomorrow, as they will face Saint Mary's at 12 p.m. in the Stevens Center. Senior Day activities will begin at approxiamtely 11:40 a.m. The Zags will conclude their regular season on the road, as they are scheduled to play Portland on April 22nd at 10 a.m.

Records: With the win, the season record for the Zags improves to 12-10 on the year. For Pacific, their record on the year drops to 6-10 with the loss. The historical record between Gonzaga and Pacific also moves to 8-3 in favor of the Zags.
