SPOKANE, Wash. --  Earlier this afternoon, the Gonzaga women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day with an impressive 4-2 victory over Sain Mary's. Entering today's match, the Zags had won their previous four home finales, dating back to the 2018-19 season.
 
Opening with the doubles competition, Saint Mary's grabbed an early lead when Jordan Harris and Lene Mari Hovda clinched a 6-2 court one victory against Gonzaga's Adrianna Sosnowska and Kianna Oda. On court three, Gonzaga tied the doubles competition when Tiegan Aitken and Rose Hayes defeated Saint Mary's Olivia Rook and TianYu Dong, ending with a score of 6-2. In the final doubles match, Gonzaga clinched the doubles point when Cate Broerman and Jenna Sloan picked up a 6-3 win over Sain Mary's Iman Khan and Stefanie Silva in the No.2 spot.
 
Moving to the singles matches, Gonzaga continued to dominate as Aitken earned an impressive 6-4, 6-3 court five win against Dong. Saint Mary's earned their first team point of the day when Hovda defeated Sosnowska by a score of 6-2, 6-4 on court two. In the No.1 spot, Broerman shined in the final home singles match of her career, defeating Harris by a score of 6-1, 7-5. With the victory, Broerman's singles record on the year improves to 11-8.
 
On court six, Saint Mary's Stefanie Silva earned a 6-2, 6-3 win against Hayes. Gonzaga clinched the team victory when Oda claimed a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Rook in the No.3 spot. With Gonzaga having clinched the team victory, the court four match between Sloan and Khan went unfinished, ending with a score of 6-4, 2-6, 2-1.
 
Up Next: The Zags will conclude their regular season with a dual match against Portland on April 22 at 10 a.m.

Records: Today's win improves the season record for the Zags to 13-10. For the Gaels, their record on the year drops to 7-10 with the loss. The historical record between Gonzaga and Saint Mary's also moves to 7-19 in favor of the Gaels.
