LOS ANGELES, Calif. --  The Gonzaga women's tennis team continued their spring conference schedule with a match against Loyola Marymount earlier this afternoon and fell 4-1 to. the Lions. Entering today's match, Loyola Marymount was on a three-match win streak.
 
In the doubles competition, Loyola Marymount got off to an early lead when Vero Miroshnichenko and Eva Marie Voracek defeated Gonzaga's Kianna Oda and Adrianna Sosnowska by a score of 6-2 on court one. In the No.3 spot, Loyola Marymount clinched the doubles competition when Anna Paradisi and Ste Rogozinska-Dzik earned a 6-2 victory against Gonzaga's Rose Hayes and Tiegan Aitken.
 
With Loyola Marymount having already clinched the doubles point, the court two match between Gonzaga's Cate Broerman and Jenna Sloan and Loyola Marymount's Wiktoria Rutkowska and Isabe Tcherkes-Zade went unfinished, ending at a score of 3-4.
 
Loyola Marymount built on their lead when Miroshnichenko defeated Broerman by a score of 6-0, 6-2 on court one. Shortly after, Voracek clinched a 6-0, 6-3 court three victory against Oda. Loyola Marymount clinched the team victory when Tcherkes-Zade earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Aitken in the No.5 spot.

In the No. 6 spot, Rose Hayes won her first set 6-4 and then her opponent defaulted, giving the Zags a point. 
 
With Loyola Marymount having already clinched the team victory, all other singles matches went unfinished.
 
Up Next: The Zags will remain in California following today's match, as they will play Pepperdine on April 8 at 12 p.m. Gonzaga will return to Spokane on April 14, when they are scheduled to face Pacific at 1 p.m. in the Stevens Center.

Records: Following today's match, the season record for Gonzaga drops to 11-9 with the loss. For Loyola Marymount, their record on the year improves to 10-6 with the victory. The historical record between the Zags and Lions also moves to 7-12 in favor of Loyola Marymount.
