Bailee Carr to Join Women's XC/TF This Fall

Grad Transfer holds No. 2 800m time at Colorado State

SPOKANE, Wash. — Bailee Carr, a grad transfer by way of Colorado State, will join Gonzaga Women's Cross Country and Track in the Fall of 2023, Head Coach Jake Stewart announced Friday.

Carr, who holds the No. 2 800m time on CSU's all-time list, will join the Zags for her final season of eligibility, adding an accomplished middle-distance runner with NCAA Preliminaries experience to Coach Stewart's roster.

In her four-year career running Cross Country and Track with the Rams, Carr put down the second-fastest outdoor 800m time in program history (2:06.18) and was a part of three Indoor All-Mountain West squads for the Distance Medley Relay (2020, 2022) and 4x400m Relay (2022). In that span, she also placed in the Top 5 at Indoor and/or Outdoor Mountain West Championships three years in a row and qualified for NCAA Outdoor Prelims in the 800m in 2021. Carr was also a multi-time Mountain West Scholar Athlete and named Academic All-Mountain West in 2020 and 2021 for both Cross Country and Track.

A Washington state native by way of Richland, Carr was named Cross Country team MVP as a senior for the Bombers and holds the school 800m record.
