FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Gonzaga women's basketball team went to Colorado State for its last road non-conference game and dropped an overtime thriller, 74-72.

Three Zags (4-6) scored in double figures, including a team-high 22 points from Yvonne Ejim. Allie Turner was right behind her with 18 points. Maud Huijbens had an incredible double double with 15 points and a career-high 19 rebounds.

The Bulldogs opened the game with an 8-0 run, led by Hujbens. The Zags put together another 9-0 run in the opening quarter with three buckets in a row from Turner. GU took a 19-11 lead over CSU (7-3) going into the second quarter.

Huijbens reached a double double already at the half after scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Ejim had a team-high 12 points after going 3-for-5 from the floor and 1-for-2 from beyond the arc.

While dominating the rebound battle, 25-10, GU shot a blistering 57.1% and held CSU to 29%. After a last second foul and technical foul given to CSU, the Bulldogs shot five free throws with less than a second left to take the 43-23 lead going into halftime.

CSU came out hot in the third quarter and outscored GU, 24-9. After the Rams took the lead late in the fourth quarter, Gonzaga responded to tie the game after Ejim drew a foul with two seconds left and made a free throw.

In overtime, CSU had the slight edge as Ejim and Turner scored a combined six points in extra time.

Overall, GU shot 41% as CSU recorded 39.1%. Gonzaga outrebounded Colorado State, 49-30.

Turner nearly had her own double double with 18 points and nine assists.
