Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. – The Gonzaga women's tennis team continued their conference schedule earlier today, facing Pacific in an away match. Previously scheduled for tomorrow, today's match was moved due to the expectation of rain tomorrow in Stockton.
 
Beginning with an intense doubles competition, Pacific's Alexis Sam and Milena Maiorova earned a 6-2 court two victory over Gonzaga's Kianna Oda and Caroline Wernli. Shortly after, Gonzaga tied the doubles competition on court three, as Brooke Bittner and Lia Espinal defeated Pacific's Liza Mladentseva and Indiya McLeod by a score of 7-5. In the No.1 spot, Gonzaga clinched the doubles point when freshmen Emily Robertson and Ella Nielsen claimed a 7-6 win against Pacific's Klara Kosan and Tomi Main.
 
Transitioning to the singles competition, Pacific tied the match on court four, as McLeod defeated Wernli by a score of 6-2, 6-3. Later on, Pacific's Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle clinched a 6-4, 6-2 victory against Espinal. On court five, Maiorova also earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over Bittner.
 
In the No.1 spot, Kosan clinched the team victory for Pacific, defeating Robertson by a score of 1-6, 7-5, 6-3. With the team victory already clinched, all other singles matches went unfinished.
 
Up Next: Following today's match, the Gonzaga women's tennis team will play Saint Mary's on Saturday, March 30th at 11 am. The Bulldogs will return to the Stevens Center on April 7th, when they are scheduled to host Loyola Marymount at 11 am.
