SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gonzaga's
Carys Baek and
Grace Lee were selected to the 2023-24 All-West Coast Conference Team the league announced Tuesday.
Lee earned the honor for the second straight season after being named the WCC Freshman of the Year last season. It's the third time in the past four seasons that GU has had multiple selections on the All-Conference team.
Lee boasts the team's lowest scoring average at 73.13, which ranks third in program history. She had 11 rounds at par or lower, and finished in the Top 10 in six of her 10 events in 2023-24. The Bellevue, Wash., native, took medalist honors at the 2023 Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational totaling a 200 (-13) setting a new tournament and program 54-hole record. Her opening round 62 was one stroke off the program record set in 2017. At the WCC Championships, Lee was three-over (219) and placed third.
Baek has a 73.89 season average, which is tied for eighth all-time at GU. She tied for seventh at seven-over (223) at the conference championships this past weekend. The junior had four Top-10 finishes this season, highlighted by medalist honors at the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invite in February.
