This marks the first top 10 win since 2007

SEATTLE, Wash. -- The Gonzaga men's soccer team topped No. 9 ranked Seattle, 2-1, on Thursday night on the road. This is the first ranked win since 2019 and the first top 10 win since 2007 for the Zags.

The first half was scoreless for both teams as GU took two shots compared to Seattle's 10. Chema Preciado recorded four saves in the first 45 minutes to keep it scoreless.

The Bulldogs got on the scoreboard first in the 65th minute as Alex Bazia scored his third goal of the season to make it 1-0 for the Zags. The Redhawks responded four minutes later with an unassisted goal from Edgar Leon to tie it at 1-1.

Ben Augee scored the game winning goal in the 80th minute with assists coming from Bazia and Damoni Mckenna-Greenawalt. This marked Augee's second goal of the season as he gave GU the 2-1 lead.
