WORLEY, Idaho – Gonzaga women's golfer
Grace Lee placed fourth at the Eagle Invitational at Circling Raven Golf Course Monday.
Lee led the Bulldogs with a four-under (140) finish. Due to an issue with the pin placement, the first round was cancelled, and the tournament was scored at 36 holes. Lee followed up her 72 (E) in the second round, with a four-under (68) final round.
Carys Baek was close behind in ninth place with a 144 (E) two-round total. She carded rounds of 72 Sunday and Monday.
The Zags improved on their eight-over (296) second round total, with a four-over (292) third round finish.
Jasmine Wong placed 35
th at seven-over (151), while
Esther Yoo was nine-over (153) in 41
st place.
Taylor Mularski finished in 58
th at 14-over (158).
Playing as individuals,
Darby Rickel also placed 41
st at nine-over (153) and
Vanessa Zhang was 16-over (160) in 65
th.
CSU Northridge won the team title at one-under (575), holding off North Dakota State's two-over (578) finish. Ariya Soldwisch of CSUN and Montana State's Lauren Greeny shared medalist honors at six-under (138).
Gonzaga returns to the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in Tacoma, Wash., Sept. 30-Oct. 1. GU won the 2019 and 2022 titles at the event hosted by Seattle University at Tacoma Country Club. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
