Lee named to team for third straight season

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Gonzaga women's golfers Carys Baek and Grace Lee were named to the Preseason West Coast Conference Team Tuesday.

Baek and Lee were selected to the 2023-24 All-West Coast Conference Team, and Lee received Preseason Team honors for the third straight season.

Lee earned All-WCC postseason honors for the second straight season in 2024, after being named the WCC Freshman of the Year in 2023.

Last season, Lee boasted the team's lowest scoring average at 73.13, which ranks third in program history. She had 11 rounds at par or lower, and finished in the Top 10 in six of her 10 events in 2023-24. The Bellevue, Wash., native, took medalist honors at the 2023 Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational totaling a 200 (-13) setting a new tournament and program 54-hole record. Her opening round 62 was one stroke off the program record set in 2017. At the WCC Championships, Lee was three-over (219) and placed third.

Baek had a 73.89 season average in 2023-24, which is tied for eighth all-time at GU. She tied for seventh at seven-over (223) at last season's conference championships. She had four Top-10 finishes last season, highlighted by medalist honors at the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invite.
